iTunes 10 Best Animated Shows

iTunes posted a section where it lists their picks for the 10 best animated shows:

1. The Simpsons
2. South Park
3. Spongebob Squarepants
4. Family Guy
5. Peanuts
6. Looney Tunes
7. Aqua Teen Hunger Force
8. Avatar: The Last Airbender
9. Wallace & Gromit
10. Naruto

I don't think these are in any particular order. So what do you think of the list? I don't think ATHF deserves to be there at all. And Scooby-Doo should be there. And I know that there are only about 10 Disney Shorts on iTunes but they should be up there too.
 
I'd say with the way things are going these days Family Guy really is more popular and more well known than Looney Tunes. A few years earlier and LT would probably be at the top of this list

Either way, I like 8 out of the 10 shows listed there, so I'm no complaining.
 
Was this list compiled of shows that they find are the best or are these shows based upon which episode had the most downloads on their iTunes store or something? Either way, this list is bad.
 
"Best" (fill-in-the-blank) lists like those are flawed from the get-go because most of them are just someone else's opinion. My 10 Best Animated Shows may not be the same as yours or anyone else's. Also, is iTunes defining "Best" in terms of ratings? Popularity? Or something else?

As for what cartoons did not make the list, I'm guessing that all of the shows listed there must be available on iTunes in order to be included. Correct?
 
Basically. I'm pretty sure this list is really more which cartoons sell the best for iTunes rather than which are the most enjoyable. But even then, it's just a list.
 
Okay, I'm just going to assume that this list is based on overall sales of the series on said list, rather than importance and so forth. Sort of like how on Xbox Live most popular DLC are usually map packs and extra songs.
 
I'm the sure the good people at iTunes wouldn't stoop so low. After all, they made the iPod so I feel I can totally trust their data on the Best Animated Shows. Besides, where else am I going to find a top 10 list of Best Animated Shows?
 
The man with the iPod is right! Let's blindly trust them!

and by that i mean its completely based on sales, its not like they have any other way to measure it. I'm surprised that looney tunes makes the list b/c all of those other shows, well most of them, have a weekly show right now.

Isn't that what itunes bases every list on? sales? it gets tricky to measure things after that
 
I saw that last week. I hough they did a pretty good job picking that top 10. they got a little bit from every cateogory, so it should keep everyone happy. I agree with that list (despite how biased iTunes has been in the past).
