It's Weird

The older people get, you're supposed to turn away from cartoons. Of course, we still love them here at TZ. My point is that the older I get, I'm getting more into cartoons. They're my life, next to my family and friends and school. I am more into them now than I was at age 8. They brought me out of my shell. I'm a shy, often bullied guy. I can't believe I joined a message board, something I thought I would never do. TZ gives me daily enjoyment. Thank you, Saturday mornings and Toon Zoners. This has made a better person. I once was shy and quiet. Now I'm Cartoonlover.

LIES, LIES, LIES!! If anything, my love for cartoons has grown over my 15 years of life (I'm 14 years old). The fact I've joined numerous animation boards and run an animation blog should be proof of that. ;) I have both Cartoon Network and Toon Disney for introducing me to all eras and types of animation. :anime: How could I ever turn away from something that's such a big part of my life.

Yeah 98% of all shows and I remotely even care about are animated. I love this site so I can talk about them all the time without feeling embarassed.

I'm not growing out of cartoons so much as I'm becoming more picky about what I watch. I wouldn't give half a glance at some of the stuff I watched as kid or even a teenager these days. The last show I found actually great was W.I.T.C.H., and that was over two years ago. Though I'm sure if I was a kid I'd like all sorts of current shows. Maybe that's why people grow out of cartoons, they become too picky and eventually give up.

Yeah my love for cartoons has grown as I've gotten older but I can understand why people eventually grow out of them. Mostly because they're generally made for children with simplified plots and characters, if you look at many of the cartoons enjoyed by adults they're the more serious ones with developing characters and plots or adult comedies. You can't blame people for eventually not enjoying kid stuff anymore.

It's not so much we grow too old for cartoons,as it is our maturity might lead us to exploring more options out there.Animation is just another format of entertainment. It can be just as serious as any 'real' show.

What I'm saying is that I'm loving them more. I'm having more fun watching cartoons than people my age do going to parties. I've never been to one, and I don't intend to.
