It's time to make a new Mario cartoon...

I feel that the Link in The Wind Waker had a lot of personality to him. Now Twilight Princess or (to a lesser extent) Ocarina of Time, those Links are pretty dull.

It is definatly time for either a new Mario cartoon, Zelda cartoons or some kind of a show set up with multiple Nintendo characters living within the same universe. They could do random shorts based upon certain Nintendo characters and break them up into two episodes over the course of a half an hour period, it would actually be kind of cool. But yeah, Nintendo needs to represent with a cool program to show off their trademarked characters, I would totally dig it.

A Super Smash Bros. cartoon, please. If they did it right -- funny, action-packed, and faithful to Nintendo's iconic characters and universes -- it would be so unbelievably awesome.

Not to mention, it's about time Samus Aran got some TV screentime... the closest she came to was appearing in the Captain N comics, which actually did a good job with her character (or at least compared to how all the other game characters were handled by the actual cartoon)

Certainly if there would be a new Mario Brothers cartoon, I would rather see Nintendo watch over the animation aspects by subcontracting it to a Japanese animation company such as OLM instead of an American company. Mario is distinctly Japanese such as Pokemon. However, the series would not last as long as Pokemon, but a 13-26 episode series encompassing the Mario universe could fit properly.

When the series is placed for sale for syndication in North America, it should go to a quality company that would not distort the series.

Fake answer:
The Mama Luigi Show, airing on Nick next to iCarly
Mama Luigi has his own YouTube Poop series! A show about the behind-the-scenes events!

Real answer:
Imagine...a Pixar adaption of Mario! They could actually give the story...*gasp*...DEPTH!

Played Super Mario Galaxy? Sure it was still the standard "Mario saving Peach from Bowser" plot but it still added more to the plot such as Roselina, the Luma, the whole idea of Bowser trying to create his own galaxy, etc.

While those may not be major changes to the overall series, it certainly adds something to the Mario storyline and to be honest I wouldn't want it any other way, but that might be just me.

As for a new Mario cartoon I'm kind of skeptical about this. It would be interesting but would probably end up mediocre at best. From what I've seen The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 is probably the best adaption, though it severely lags in many areas. I do like the idea of a good adaption, but if Miyamoto really said that there will be no more adaptions then I support the decision.
