It's pathetic that people are knocking the iPhone...

honestly, you said you can admit the iphone short comings, so please do so.

Apple said it did not use 3g because it would have increased the size of the phone + decreased battery life.. that's deffinetly a shame on apple, obv. if other smaller phones are doing it, the iphone's size would not be drastically changed, and decreased battery life? a user-replaceable battery with a free spare would've solved that problem

i love apple, but imo, apple was a little to greedy... and i'm sure apple could've persuaded at-t to make their 3g data plan much cheaper for the iphone since cingular blindly accepted to supporting the iphone in the first place.

I'm just interested in seeing what others will think when it gets in to the general public's hands. The whole no removal of the battery thing kills me the most.

So why not get a regular phone for cheaper than $500 if thats all you need to use. Please dont think Im bashing you but I honestly just wanted to know your reasoning?

that's true, i mean that deffinetly is very nice of at-t, all in all i think it is a great phone and will do what the ipod did to the mp3 market, that is allow other phones to be more user orientated as the iphone is... im just mad at apple for not even building a user removable battery and trying to bring it up every chance i get

why? replace yours often? in 8 years of having cell phones the razr was the only one I needed an extra battery for, mainly because without a usb driver (very hard to find for free) it wouldn't charge through a computer.

goes bad, send it to apple and its replaced

whats the point of having an iPhone is you need wifi to make up for the shitty network. Yes AT&Ts network is absolute crap, yes I have used it, yes I have compared it to Sprint/Nextel and Verizon wich completely blow AT&T out of the water both in customer service and data network technology. EDGE is flawed from the beginning, way more latency and overhead compared to EVDO. Apple should have sided with either of those companies, rather than a company that has the worse record in the industry.
