They say that a meth lab inside a house/apy/trailer/etc. totally renders the place uninhabitable, because the chemicals that are used to make the meth get inside the drywall of the house, and can be a health hazard if someone moves into the place. So drug dealers, mob bosses, etc. who deal with cocaine and who handle millions of dollars in blood money, of course, would have the residue on their hands, and then pass it onto the money.
