Hey Shine. I had the same problem back when I was 13. Motherfuckers thought glasses=nerd and that a bunch of "funny" jokes were in that equation. The best way to handle this is to be nice back. When they need help on homework help them.....But not for free of course. Find out who is the richest one find a way to help him/her first. After your help state your price for such skills.(It does work especially if they are really dumb) Next help a couple "jocks" out. State a trade. Your help for protection from others. Now unless they turn on ya you now have body guards and can expand your business. Seeing as it is mostly the same classes if I remember correctly you can just pretty much redo everything. Math classes are the easiest to rack up cash in.

Believe me if everything works out the money will make everything feel better.
 
I were glases now and then, got them when I was 14 or 15? Nobody has ever made fun of me 'cause of them but I don't were them all the time since i can see pretty good without them. But you're 13, they will stop when you and they get older, at that age you're still immature (I too am still immature, but, in other ways...) But if you really want to do something get contact lenses, I'd say that's a better option then get laser surgery, espcially since that isn't an option for the next 5 years.
 
You know what you do? People used to make fun of me because I was a complete idiot - as in I would do shit regardless of the consequence, or do stuff to make people laugh... Which in turn gave me a shitty rep - One day I found out that chemistry makes people uneasy. If you know a lot about explosives, or even just random chem formulas, and use them to your advantage whenever getting made fun of...

as they're 13, the answer will obviously be "uhh, no..."

Use technical terms as much as possible... *shrug* Just look on the internet :P Its a wonderful place
 
Some people are giving very bad advice. Just get somebody without glasses to yell something at them, they'll probably leave you alone.
 
Apparently, your eye sight gradually becomes long sighted with age. So theoretically, a shortsighted people should have better eyesight the older they are. But, if a shortsighted person were to get laser treatment, their eyes will become long sighted later on, nullifying the procedure.

Oh and about the bullies, ignore them. If they persist, smack em (with or without your friends helping).
 
I'm not sure if people have said this enough but you "need" to get contacts. The whole "geek" or "nerd" bullshit associated with glasses is pathetic but its not going to change any time soon. I first got glasses in 3rd grade and I wore them for 3 days and decided I wasn't going to wear them anymore mainly because I was teased by even some of my close friends. Next week I was wearing contacts and life continued on normal but alot more clearly ;) I still have a pair of glasses at home to use, but I almost always have my contacts in. Now im a senior in highschool, by reading your post it made me think how much differnt my life could have been through thoes years if I had stuck with the glasses. Just get contacts dude, make your life easier. If you can't beg your parents to get you contacts find a way to earn a buck and pay for em or turn to friends or a family member for money for contacts.. They arent all that expensive and you will be able to get a pair if you try.

btw.. *my contacts are cheaper than buying a pair of glasses*.. my eye sight is horrible and changes every year so im constantly updating..
