well of course. actually, they had been doing it for years now that i think about it. but the price they actually had posted before was the price you'd pay with a card and the cash discount was applied after.
it seemed to only be BP at first. next thing i know, pretty much every station has that stupid ass sign saying that the posted price is only good on cash or the store's retarded ass credit card.
Fuck if they did that I would make sure to have cash in my car. I don't want to fucking get ripped off like that.
One of my biggest peeves is how stores mark up prices and then put it on "sale" to make it seem like it's a good deal. I'm looking at you Kohls and any grocery store with a "members card"
It's not legal to charge extra for you to use a card...but it is legal to give a discount if you pay in cash. Essentially the same thing, but looked at differently in the eyes of the law.
