So I play a card game (called Magic the Gathering) and I am the only
female that plays competitively in my town.

I know men have egos losing to a girl but there is a point where I think
it gets out of hand. My opponent was yelling at me and constantly
making remarks "you should know what to do!" "you read that card
seven times!" "your taking too long" and on top of that he is mimicing
my hand jestures.

I know this is just a card game but this is uncalled for. And he is like 20
years old. I got into a huge argument with him about yelling at me because
that is just fucked up. I told him if he had such a problem with me that we
could take it outside and I will beat his ass up. He kept saying that he didn't
care if I was a girl and I said I didnt care if he is a guy and we should just
go outside. Then he is complaining how he hates women. THE GUY IS
20 and THIS IS UNCALLED FOR!

I am going to call the store manager tomorrow to complain to him directly. I know men are childish but I am not going to accept this type of behavior.
 
Don't make a complaint and just ask him to choke on his balls. Why show him that you're reacting? Be calm and composed. it's not like he's going to harass you for the rest of your life. In which case, you should definitely complain.

Just tell him that he doesn't have the balls to yell at a guy like that.




Be careful. Are you 100% certain that you can beat him up? If you could, that'd be awesome, but still not recommended.

He said that he hates women, it's not your fault for being a woman. Actually, it's not even a fault.

He's 20. Are you younger to him or older than him?
 
I still want to know if you can beat him up. Don't do something stupid. If you're like never going to meet this person again, I'd say just ignore him and leave his issues to himself.
 
Well I asked him that because I was getting really angry and I am a calm
person. I have been playing this game for 4 years and if I didn't have
tolerance for this kind of behavior I wouldn't have lasted that long.

And this happens periodically but it bothers me to know that someone
can be so cruel because they are losing.

And I have been going to the store for about a year off and on so I do
expect to run into him when I go there. That is why I want to speak to the
owner of the store so that there is some kind of resolution.
 
I'd suggest you speak to him directly about it and ask him to behave like a civilian first. It would avoid all the unpleasantness. If he still behaves like an asshole, just go right ahead and complain.
 
Pokemon was a lot more fun than Yu-Gi-Oh. Then again, I was starting to get "too mature" for those kind of card games when it came out. I played it for a while... I have two pieces of Exodia somewhere.

I kind of wish I still had my Pokemon cards. I had some really rare ones. At one point, I had all versions of the Mewto card ever released.
 
I beg to differ. I've played MTG, Yugi, DBZ, a little bit of Pokemon and I have a wee bit of familiarity with Buffy. MTG owns them all and I'm more than willing to explain why.



You might try MTG yourself. The two are both made by Wizards of the Coast and have more than a few mechanics in common. There are even several cards in one game that do the same thing as cards in the other.
 
This is why I stopped real-life/offline gaming.

You just have to remember that to some of these people, it's not just a game. Their lives are so sad and pathetic that their only means of escape is to become a gaming elitist where they get to pretend that they actually mean something to the rest of the world. They get their jollies off by attempting to belittle anyone they view as unworthy.

Ten to one this guy still lives with mommy, has never been laid(or has been by an equally pathetic girl or boy..therefore the sex probably sucked), holds only a part-time job so as to not interfere with his gaming, and has zero talent outside of MTG.

You are better than he is. As tempting as it might be to kick his ubernerd ass, you should just merely laugh at him. Mockery will make his head implode.
