Itch

I was diagnosed with Lupus after a second severe bout of pneumonia with a very low white blood cell count and a vicious rash. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and schrogrens disease.
My problem is I have a rash which I can cope with, but it itches constantly. I cannot sleep as this itch is all over my body .. especially in my head.

the Lupus rash is not supposed to itch but I (and my husband) are being driven mad by this constant itch. I am currently taking Plaquenil twice a day and try to stay out of the sun.

Am I alone????

Maggie.

Dear jeepgranny;I do not suffer from the auto immune disordersthat you have listed. But I do have multiple chemical sensitivity's. Itching is no stranger to me. No-one has responded, so I just had to share w/ you the relief I get from apple cider vinegar. I am not able to take decongestants,so... After I shower (twice a week, VERY dry skin) I dilute with spring water, apple cider vinegar, and rub it on my whole body, and leave it on to dry. I am not for all 'natural remedies', but I sure get that itching under control., I only use soapless soap(like Aveeno)Hope I ve helped in some way. Hugs to You... Kersey275

Thank you for that remedy and taking the time to send it to me. Fortunately the itch has disappeared for a little while but in the past it always come back. I will keep your suggestion in mind and hope it helps ... have to ask though, does it have any odour? My husband's first remark was add a little lemon juice and I will be a salad dressing .. Aussies have weird sense of humour.
I do use soapless soap and have also found titree(pronounced teatree) oil to be a big help, don't know if you can get this in USA as it is an Australian native.
Thanks again for your interest and wish you good health for the future.
Maggie.
