Italy and Computer....10 points?

Hi, I've got 14 years old.
I'm italian.
I love cmputer programming.
I know 3 computer programming languages: C,C++ and Action Script for the web.
Next year I will go to a school for learn about computer programming.
But I've got a problem: in Italy the society think that computer is boothless.
I think that it isn't the truth.
What do you think about it? I've got reason or not?

Excuse me, but I've got only 14 yars old and my english isn't perfect.

i lived in sardinia for 6 years while i was in the navy. everyone there even the old people where useing computers and going to the internet cafes .
