They had some style that was spelled like, "abba de cabra" or something like that. It was a style used during the renaissance sword and knife time. It had joint locks and throws I believe. I'm rather sketchy on that.
As far as other arts they excel in: gladiator type fighting, greco-roman wrestling perhaps, boxing, and the rest I don't know. They probably are like most countries and have all the asian martial arts. They probably have ecclectic style they have to put together too (styles that take the best of different martial arts and putting them together in their own style). This is all I've heard in Italy though. I'm American and gathered this from just different books, internet info, magazines. I hope this helps some.
