It would be cool...

if we made a giant web of all the genres out there. Like a genre name and it will show the sub-genres directly under it, then the ones under that, ect. It would be cool to to it for every actual (no made up stuff. What most people would agree with) musical genre out there. I guess we can start by listing some that we know. For example: Rock>Hard Rock>Metal>Black Metal Ect.
What do you guys think?

the problem with that is that half of them are based off a country, that isn't a real genre. Im talking about real ones that all know of and reconize.

if you go recruit a couple thousand people sure but things can get kind of slow so i dont think that's the best idea.
even though id personally like to see an industrial forum and a brit-pop forum but this site really isnt big enough

its ridiculous really. depending on who you talk to you could get like 50 genres just for electronic. but yea hopefully lots of people will put in their input.

It doesn't matter, I showed that site because it's the type of page setup you might use, not to copy the actual information.

Just a suggestion you might wanna check the education threaRAB they have the sub-genres list if you havn't already and hardcore, post hardcore and screamo should all be under punk.
