it wont let me install the new version of adobe flash player!!!?

Go to flash player's website and click on the manual download and install link. Download the file to your desk+top and then double click it to begin the manual installation.
 
i go to install it. the instructions say it should say install x active control or whatever but instead it says install add ons for all computers. i click install and after i install it i go to a website and it says "content on this page cn only be viewed by the new adobe flash play" WHAT THE HELL!!! help me please
if this helps i have windows 7
