So there's an annual town hall event where I live. I live in a suburb with mainly whites.. well "jews" are pretty much a race in this town b/c there are so many of them (i have nothing against them).
Anyways, I think out of the 400people that were there, I saw maybe like 50or less black people. Even though there are black people living in our town (a pretty big town and a good amount of diversity), I did not see that many blacks there. It was almost weird when a black person walked by us b/c they stood out so much. Do black people feel weird or uncomfortable attending public events where they know there will be a lot of white people?
Also, I've noticed so many asian/white couple. ALL of them being asian women and white men. WEIRD. why not vice versa?? I did not realize how many asian/white couples there were!!
what does any of these answers have to do with my question????

As an african american youth, I must say white people do scare me. My grandfather would tell me stories of segregation and when he was beaten just because he was black. But I tend to get by it. Sometimes at night i wake up screaming but the pills stop that.

Baby your face is like poetry it makes me feel alive. What is your number?♥

Black people shouldn't feel uncomfortable. If only we mingled with them a lot more freely, they wouldn't feel alienated in a white society. We must do our part to make them feel included in all the social festivities. Sorry but I don't like seeing people left out because they are in the minority.

Yes, its very interesting to notice white men/ asian couples. I also wonder why its not the other way round.

you diffidently need to come out of what ever false reality you are when it comes white black people. I believe that the majority of black people still do not feel comfortable able around white people it's just the way it is. The white male and Asian female as a wife is very common in the military

Jeesh. All it is is the color of your skin and where your family comes from. I don't get the big deal people have with other races! We are all the same we are all children of the earth. Just because we look different doesn't mean we can't get along. People have lots of stereotypes about all the races especially a few specific groups so now they have bad reputations.
