it seems police in Norway are complete buffoons

they likely never suspected that such an act would occur on the island. iam sure they have a helicopter to their name it was just so far away it made sense to use the boat

since when cops are allowed to build prison? the government is the only who can make that decision.

the TS is blaming the cops because they were slow to respond to the shooting when in reality they had no mean of transportation to get there quickly.

do you think a country with 10 fucking murders in 2010 is prepare for something of this scale?

Did you miss the part about the...

Kind of a dick move to call the police officers themselves stupid because the legislators don't pay for them to have helicopters and boats.

Exactly. Completely unable to deal with real criminals, only able to issue tickets to people who speak un-PC speak and stay up 5 minutes past lights out.

it's somebody's fault
Orlando has had one year with hurricanes since 1960 but we are prepared for one and were ready when they hit in 2004

Oh look, yet another Liberal apologist. Tell you what son, go piss up a rope and apologize for yet another failed Liberal policy. And while you are at it, please try to do a better job of not blaming the policies of that Socialist country, but rather make some bullshit reference to the United States ... because MAYBE the other idiots out there like you will dream up some way that it is OUR fault for this. Fuck, I'm surprised you didn't blame Bush for it and commend Obama for stopping the death toll from rising even higher.

Not the cops fault that the logistics and equipment were simply unavailable. As pussy as Norway is, I'm sure any cop there would have given their left nut to get to that island more quickly. I've seen swat teams operate and yes, most major cities' teams could be on site within a matter of minutes, but that's in an urban environment. With an island, even with a helicopter and watercraft it would be a difficult task to get on scene in a speedy manner. Nothing is instantaneous. It takes time to deploy resources and specialized vehicles. Now would they a major US city taken 90 minutes to get on scene? Probably not, but it wouldn't be a matter of minutes like a school/mall shooting.
