Me and my boyfriend have been together for 9 months and I have never had a problem with painful sex until roughly 4 months ago. My stress levels have been very high due to unfortunate events happening to our family, it has been one thing after another. I have been sick with flues and infections and when I got put on antibiotics last I ended up with thrush which has hopefully gone away by now. I have recently had a period and now that I am over it we thought that we could have sex again, but then it is painful after the sex. It is like a really strange burning feeling and this is ruining our sex life and we are both very very sick to death of this. I have been STD tested and nothing came up. I am on birth control and I have changed the pill about 3 times because the first one I had didn't do anything for my acne, the second one wasn't strong enough for me because I was bleeding between periods and then I went on this one which is fine now. I also have depression and a social phobia and I need to know if this emotional state is contributing to my sex problems. I am finding it hard to get aroused lately because of the worry too. Is it my mental state or could something be wrong?
