:angel:Good Evening, I just wanted to drop a line & say IT DOES GET BETTER!!!!!
I had a decent weekend, yesterday was my first long day out, shopping and just being out....beautiful weekend, pain is really sarting to subside, just went for a walk and it felt great, pain in my hip and top of my leg, wasnt excruating.....felt a little weakness but not to bad, I made it to church this morning,I was told that I looked PAIN FREE...YES!!!!I guess I looked pretty miserable prior to surgery,Oh, and I have been able to touch my back, soft gentle massage, felt really good....I was able to stand in front of the mirror this mornin and actually primp a little...:)...This may seem small to some...but I havent been able to do to much.....So, just wanted to share that..
REMOVED
I go back to the Dr. August 6th to see if I am fusing.....Lets hope so.....MaMa

Im glad you are doing so good keep it up i will be praying for you. Hope you are fused i dont go back till septeraber.

Glad you are doing so well so fast. Keep up the good work! Your progress is far from small to anyone on this board. I bet you felt great primping yourself again. Good for you! Kathy

Yes I agree with all you said...Many told me the pain in my face was gone too..And I didn't primp for many months prior to surgery..didn't care what I wore or if I did my hair at all..It DOES feel good to primp again...

PS..At 5 weeks there is no way that the Dr can see that you are fusing already...it's a bit too soon.

Glad you are feeling better....It will improve day by day..be patient..

Hi countrymomma, iam so glad to hear you are feeling much better, you have been through alot, keep up the good work but please be careful with yourself.i will be praying for your recovery, glad to hear some good news for a change. marywoo

Please remeraber that there will be ups and downs in your recovery. Your progress probably will not be on a straight line upward. Usually when people start feeling better, they get a little carried away and end up overdoing it, which brings on a flare-up, etc. Sometimes, they get really carried away and end up doing damage...so please be careful. Don't be in a rush...follow your doctor's orders and remeraber to rest.

Great news Countrymama! Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks post op and I am also improving! I'd say my mornings are the best and my evenings are the worst, but it definitely shows some improvement every day! See my doctor on Friday, and if there's any sign at all of bone growth I will be permitted to remove the brace for showers. Woo Hoo! LOL

Countrymama you sound like you are doing great. Keep up the good work but don't overdo because it is easy to do once you start feeling better. Take it easy and don't wear yourself out.

Gentle Hugs
Linda
