My old iPod broke so my dad just gave me an older iPhone 3G of his to replace it. I've been using it as an iPod without a sim card for months now. I just did an update of the software and now iTunes refuses to let me put songs on it, saying simply "There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate." I'm not trying to activate anything, I just want to put songs on it like I was. Somebody help please.
