Issues with my computer..Everytime I go into yahoo it says that it has malware?

It was real hard trying to get back into my account.What is wrong ...I have the avast installed so that is how I get my alerts.How do I go about finding out that yahoo has infected my computer? and How to I get rid of that stupid virus?
