I am currently running a Linksys router with DD-WRT firmware (Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/01/09) micro). I needed to set one computer with two open ports - 80 and 3128. This connects to Charter via a Motorola modem however the issue occurred with two different modems. IP is assigned by DHCP. For some reason the router keeps kicking out the DHCP assigned WAN address for no apparent reason and I have not found a reason for it. Since the IP generally stays the same I have set it to a static IP using the DHCP assigned info but not sure if that will resolve the issue or not. Any ideas?
