Israel or Lebanon?

They have seats in the parliament, and are supported by the government of Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. Lebanon has everything to do with Hizbollah.
 
Therefore, merely because Israel is a 'westernized democracy' it doesn't mean they automatically deserve our support? Good idea, because all pragmatic looks upon the situation says American neutrality is a better position, since it allows America to distance itself from everything the Israelis do, which usually ends up making the Islamic world more and more radicalized.

Most people fail to realize that in every country outside of the United States, Israel is a controversial state due to both its actions and the methods that led up to its existence, of course, the US media is run by Zionists and tends to praise everything Israel does, they could probably round up every civilian in Lebanon and kill them and no one in the US would protest, and those who did would be called terrorist sympathizers.

Correct! I'm not even sure what the logic is behind anyone supporting Israel. We have come to a point where the only rational reason to support Israel is "well, they're a democracy with human rights." Personally, that is no reason to support another country.

I'm from Europe, and Europe believes in Western principles(as misguided as I think they are), while I consistently find myself criticizing my homeland for supporting other democracies around the planet. I would be happier if Europe were to stop listening to the US and start supporting far-left and far-right regimes and groups, respectively.
