Isn't there an old photography saying?

where they say that when you take someones picture, you steal part of their soul?

if this is true, then shouldn't we say bless you after we take someones photo?

When we sneeze it is believed that the soul escapes the body and by saying bless you, it puts it back in, so aren't these two the same concept?

Well I've been told a few things that ended with "you" after taking pictures. I don't think any of them started with "bless" though.

yes I agree in some countries photography does seem like your stealing a little soul..and in my experience it seems that way the most in developed countries...where as when Im shooting in poorer countries the people seem to enjoy and encourage you to take their photo..which can be very refreshing.

Actually, when we sneeze it is not our soul leaving that makes us say bless you, but a really old saying from way back in England. When Plague was common sneazing like any other sickness was evident. Since when someone sneezed it most likely meant they were sick so whenever someone sneezed, a common God Bless you would be given kind of like a good omen so they don't die or pass the disease on to anyone else, its been so overused that nowadays its still used and no one really knows why its used haha
