Particularly since the vast majority of Americans were having their 401-K's and financial institutions looted, their National Debt doubled in only 8 years while an unjustified war was accelerated in an oil bearing nation nearly to the exclusion of the real threat in both Afghanistan and Northern Pakistan? The Taliban may have even greater access to nuclear weapons now. And all of this taking place while many of our jobs were outsourced or merely eliminated while a vast wave of disenfranchised, peasant class poured over our southern border from what amount to, essentially, corrupt, Narco regimes? Do you ever suppose that any significant voices may have been silenced early on by a predominantly consolidated and corporate media controlled by the far right wing that sought to appeal to the least educated, fundamentalist, corn belt individuals that could easily be lead by a brash and pontificating, high school graduate with an adequate command of the American language? Sorry to use so many convenient labels but there is no way to ask this question with any economy of words by me.
This is starting to look like the Biblical conundrum of finding an honest man (person).
Man-person?
I know well how to formulate my own opinion- my concern, obviously, resides with those who are either incapable of or have chosen not to do so for a variety of reasons that, admittedly, I may not know. The thing that I am asking is to what extent the corporate media have manipulated all of our opinions to some extent (notice that I am trying not to refer to the "Right" or "Left" media right now but the one that exists as we type).
...Which, of course does not represent the vast majority in its' opinions as I- me, myself and I, assume that it could, should and even would were it given a chance.
Oh, what the hell, I guess you're right- who gives a fig?
