Isn't it strange that no one is complaining that Pacquiao is fighting a much...

...bigger and stronger guy? Before dela Hoya Filipino politicians even wanted to complain to the commission to protect Manny from being hurt. Then after the victory everyone just accepts that Manny can fight welterweights. People even complain about the 145lbs catch weight.

No one realizes that this is the actual test of Manny at the welterweight division. It feels like the first time Manny faced Morales, where he was the favorite and lost to Morales.
Dude, i am not talking about Many Pacquiao complaining.

The fans themselves are the ones not complaining. The fans even think it was unfair for Cotto to drop to 145lbs in fear that Cotto will be drained and Pacquiao will do to him what he did to dela Hoya.

Everyone now just think that Pacquiao can fight bigger guys. Did you hear that Cotto is the underdog? This is like Pacquiao-Morales I, where Pacquiao was the favorite but still lost to Morales. No one realizes that Cotto is really stronger and could win. Why is Cotto the underdog? Isn't Pacquiao the smaller guy?

that a stupid question! is Manny complaining? No!! in a fight it dosen"t matter on who's shorter bigger faster stronger it don't matter on non of that! all that matters is who trains the hardest and who fights the smartest

i think no one is complaining about the size because Pacquiao has proven that he can maintain his speed and power as he moves up in weight and because Cotto didnt look that great in his last fight. also the catchweight evens things out a little bit. i think it is a mistake to think this fight is going to be easy for Pacquiao though. this aint no defense havin' Ricky Hatton or past his prime weight drained Oscar De La Hoya. Cotto is gonna be there to win and if Manny can pull this off, there should be no debate about who is the P4P king.

I see your point. Even though De La Hoya was weight drained, and Ricky Hatton ran straight into him with no defence, Pacquiao has boosted his credentials in beating them so decisively. Even though Cotto is a true welterweight in his prime - a lot of people understandably think the Pac-man has a chance - more than a chance against Cotto.

People are intrigued to see if the Pac-man can do it again. Personally I don't think so - but this is an extremely interesting match-up, made all the more interesting with Mayweather lurking on the horizon.

In general, the Filipino people had De La Hoya down to win the fight, more so than everyone else. Because he beat the god De La Hoya, and cos of what he did to Hatton, he's considered virtually indestructable by many, they are not worried about the weight. But yeah, this is the real test for him at welterweight.
