the law is the knowledge of sin? The Gentiles were not under the law they were dead to God, dead, Romans 5:13-14, Ephesians 2:12 Gentiles coming to Christ by believing the righteousness which is of faith, ( the cross burial and resurrection of Christ) when believed they pass from death unto life, with the heart they believe unto the righteousness of God, 1 Corinthians 12:13 and put on Christ Galatians 3:27

1 John speaks to the Jew who puts all his trust in the law and Moses, and much like many in Christ time among them; They didn't think they were sinners, and for the reason of making straight the way Christ God sent Moses to pr reach the baptism of repentance. It wouldn't be easy to except Christ who came to save sinners if none thought they were sinful. Agreeing with God would certainly then help you to see the beauty of the LORD who came to save sinful man,

You really should believe the right gospel of which was preached by the apostle Paul to the Gentiles; Romans 1, 2Corinthians , Galatians , Ephesians , Philippians, Colossians, 1,2 Thessalonians , 1,2 Timothy, Titus It really does sound like many have just heard some other good news and have not rightly divided it. The good news you read in the synoptic gospels were not to be preached to you, Matthew 10:5-7, Romans 15: 8 .There is no unveiling of the Mystery of Christ or knowledge of the unsearchable riches of Christ, that is geared to clothe and adorn you with Christ, in the four gospels.
