Is your menstruation cycle long?? Should I go on birth control? opinions please :)?

hey :)
I was just wondering if anyone else's menstruation cycle is as long as mine. my period lasts for like 2 weeks, no joke! as for my friends, theirs lasts like 2-4 days!! since it lasts for so long, do you think I should go on birth control?
