Hi guys, new to the martial art world or those who think their art is real and think of themselves confident it is. here is list of the crapness and realness.

karate, tae kwon do,aikido, hapkido,(between a gay art and real) Why? well nowadays dojos in this art only let you train 2 days out of the week and charge you like 80 a month. Talk about stealing someone money, damn. Unless you train everyday, do real sparting where you will a broken nose and be knocked out, and where you will also throw alot and break some noses as well, not a crappy point sparring, you will never fully develop your potential. KARATE was developed to kill and yet your fat teacher or sensei can't even lift a foot to kick.

Join these if you want to learn some real fighting
Boxing, muay thai, BJJ, wrestling, and kickboxing

Unless your gonna train hard like hitting trees. plucking out nails from a board, elbowing the ground and striking it also..or striking a wall with your fingers for your karate, or tkd..Then you need some real training.
CORRECTION FOR THOSE WHO ARE SLOW AT LEARNING...THE MARTIAL ART ITSELF IS NOT CRAP, BUT THE TEACHINGS NOW A DAYS

Anyone you ask is going to say that their martial art is real.
I have trained in Kyo Ku Shin Kai (specialized form of Bushido Kai) and it is one of the hardest forms you can take.
I'm also in Aikido right now and it is very traditional and we train 4 days out of the week.

Iam a traditional martial artist specializing in Xing yi , Sanda kickboxing, shuai jiao, and Tiger claw kung fu.

Nonetheless, i agree with you on the most part. Traditional martial arts are very effective, ........but in these modern times, it is very hard to find a TMA instructor who teaches the style in the "REAL" ways. When i was first learning shaolin kung fu, we had to wear 40 lbs weight vest and do conditioning exercises with them, and sometimes even sparred with them. We had to put our bodies through hell, just to earn the title "martial artist". Before we learned any techniques, we had to be able to sit in a horse stance for 20 mins. Which is unheard of in America. In real kung fu, you have to learn Ti,da,shuai , Na. The four quadrants of combat. I.E. - Punch, kick, wrestle, seize (joint lock, choke)

If you are lucky enough to find a qualified TMA teacher, then by all means. go for it. The standard MMA school does lack in alot of departments that could benefit from more TMA oldschool conditioning methods. ...but...in reality..........The standard MMA school is your best bet in learning practical self-defense in these "Lazy" modern times.

Nonetheless, A true MMA practioner will not be afraid to respect and desire to learn from any style or master......thus making him even more well-rounded. Could you imagine If Royce Gracie was also a Wing chun or Sanda expert?

Or if guys like Bisping took martial arts more spiritual and meditated, practice iron body skills......he would be more focused and wouldnt get KO'ed as easily.

All in all........its the practioner.........not the style itself that sucks.

And you are right.........most practioners of TMA suck.

Its unfortunate.....because all styles have something that can benefit a unique fighter.
