Is your 3G slow after upgrade to OS4? Please vote.

Upgraded my iphone 3g 16GB to iOS4 and jailbreak it with Redsn0w 0.9.5 b4 enabled multitasking and it was so slow i had to go back to redsn0w and disable the multitasking, but its still the same. luckily i am i got another 3gs, i am still on 3.1.2 though.
 
I upgraded my 3G 16GB model MB496B,VERSION 4.0{8A293}MODEM FIRMWARE 05.13.04 and with multitasking enabled, my phone is working fine. Jailbreak through redsn0w .95 B
 
just spent hours trying to update to 4.0 cuz i had issues that it would stop while backing up so i had to do a restore instead of update to update it. either way, its now slow as hell with the new os. I have the 8GB 3G
 
Sorry bro, but this thread is for user's experience & feedback. Not all iPhone 3G facing same problem, including me, i have enabled wallpaper & multitasking and my phone is normal, it's not exact the same as 3.1.2 but it's not slow, i am happy with it. I compromised little speed with the MT function, badly need it.

3g multitasking enabled is okay if you always close those open apps that you already don't use before opening another one tried and tested...

if many apps are open tendency is that iphone 3g will get slower due to overload...
 
i have also upgrade into os 4 but i am unable to activate and unlock it
please give me some solution
 
mine its too slow, but apple said on their conference at wwdc this june, that multitasking its not to much for iphone 3g, but i think they are wrong, it kinda colapse iphone, i guess its because processor speed and capacity!!!
 
Thanks, i already figured it out and am making a guide for novice users so that they can enjoy background wallpaper & multitasking on there 3G.

as i posted before it isnt slow ... but the game center is nt shown if i make custom restore .. its only show if i made clean restore then JB .. and actualy i dont want to upgrade my base band ( 3G base band 4.26.08 ) .. any clue here guys .
 
Yes, the unlock is possibile!

I unlocked my iphone 3GS firmware 4.0. In the members area is given the announcement of the imminent release of the software to unlock the new iphone.

Because I am a member I am entitled to have all updates for free! The subscription is paid only once and lasts forever.

I called apple support, they said to restore the phone and then set up as a new phone instead of restoring from backup. This improved the speed a little, still not as good as before. But phone still works like crap. Freezes and crashes a lot. And of course I lost all my text messages and notes in the process.
