Is WordPress better than a self-coded PHP website? I was wondering if I should make a self-coded PHP site or use WordPress. You see, I've used WordPress a lot and I learnt how to code PHP by looking at it's source files.

Please help me with this WordPress dilemma.

There is no real answer. WordPress is very good, if it does what you need it to do, then I'd say stick with it. If you're extremely familiar with PHP and know the majority it's ins and outs (which I'm going to assume you do not), you could very well program something "better" as far as fitting your own needs.

My observation, since you felt the need to ask, is that you don't have the capabilities yourself of creating something better than what WordPress offers.

Either or really. If your good at coding php and designing sites you can try code and see how it turns out. Personally it;d be quicker and easier to use Wordpress and just edit it.

Really its a question of money, php code is free (unless you want to pay yourself) so if you want you can start with that. Fail at that then use Wordpress.
