is wheat/fish a good diet for weight reduction?

I ve been on a strict diet for a few weeks. in this part of my country rice is the staple food. but i cut down on rice and ve bene taking a lot of wheat along with work out. is it okay to have wheat all d time? does excess of wheat harm my body?

it s fried fish for lunch today. fieh is usually recommended for protein but fried fish wud ruin my diet, wudnt it?

so u gotta answer both my questions.
