Is violence against minority men in the media considered to be socially acceptable?

There is hardly any violence against children or animals in TV shows, movies, etc. and I think that violence against women is controversial. People seem to be more relaxed about violence against white men and it is sometimes even portrayed as being humorous. How does this apply to minority men?
