Is Verizon's contract phone deposit around the same as AT&T's?

Ok, so I'm debating on which provider to sign with. Right now, I have a prepaid account with AT&T. Been with them for 4 yrs. In those 4yrs I've only had payment issues twice. But right now, I simply don't care for prepaid anymore. I can get a contract plan with AT&T or Verizon, with a smartphone unlimited data, that'll actually be somewhat cheaper than my prepaid plan. And the prepaid plans are so limited. But getting back to my original thoughts, I went to Verizon last week. I told them that I didn't have any credit history. So, they checked out my past history with my cell phone bills. They then told me that my deposit would be about 130.00, plus the contract smartphone price. (which was a Droid) I think the Droid was about 200.00+ Now, I haven't checked out AT&T's deposit. But I just want to know, will it be around the same as the Verizon deposit?
