Is Vanessa Williams a permanent DHW cast member?

Pretty sure she's a main character now. Katherine has left for good so she's replaced her it seems.

I would guess that she is the 'other' one. The one that the plot revolves around for the season and then goes at the end of that season.

marc cherry has said that she is not the new mystery - thats paul and beth this year - so she is a regular HW - shes meant to be a replacement for the lost edie/catherine characters
