Is US History mostly pro-military propaganda and lies?

Two issues I have with most US History taught in high school.

The whole melting pot garbage that is taught to students is just brainwashing us into allowing illegal immigration to take jobs away from Americans.

What's taught about the American military is inaccurate and wrong. Our teaching of World War II is pretty much as farcical as what the Japanese and Germans probably teach in their books. Russia really fought the bulk of the bad fighting in the war, and Japan was not as big a threat as they were made out to be. Once their navy was smashed, they were dead.

I think the history instruction in US textbooks is designed to brainwash students into justifying the exorbitant amount of money spent on the military.

I agree with everything you said except the part about illegal immigrants.

They're taking positions that most Americans wont take to begin with. Unless you know of many Americans who want jobs as Migrant Laborers or Sweatshop seamstresses?

Absolutely right.

A prime example is where most Americans even think that the automobile was invented in the US.

Or was Mercedes an American?
