ok, if you delete and piece of memory, SD card, HDD, etc, it doesn;t actually erase the files as you well know,
it tells the operating system that the "deleted" data is ready to be written over, it's like looking at white-board with notes on the side, the person using it is done with this particular section, and ignores it until they need to write over it, or erase it completely. this could cause data consistency problems in the video formatting itself...
