Just purchased on 08 Ford Explorer. An error light is coming up saying there is a Tire Pressure Monitor Fault. I have read a little bit about the system.
From what I gather, this can be caused by tires being rotated and the system not being "retrained"; I hope that is the case. Is this a possible cause of the fault?
Last, if it is something actually broken such as one of the sensors or the unit it sends the info to, is this covered under Fords extended warranty? I never had to use a warranty before, can I just contact a local Ford dealer, give them my VIN and they can tell my what is covered under my current warranty?
