Depends

If they are taking the piss then it passes as satire. If they are daft lassies who think praising the enemy of my enemy is big and clever then they are sadly misguided and (if I understand SGG correctly) are made of Fail and Bad Aids

Difficult to see how it's any sort of protest, it's just having a dig at other people's tragedies.

I don't know the context myself, though I'd like to.

The pic just happened to happen along.

If it's serious and not some sort of sick joke then I fail to see how it can be anything other than trying to upset other people. No protest, no point being made, just trying to hurt people.

Don't see anything wrong with it...

It's actually hilarious. :glag:

I don't believe in absolute freedom of speech either, which is why I qualified my statment as being "in the context of public demonstration protest" I should insert "peaceful" as well. I am deeply against the propagation of any form of this kind of message in school curricula, or official government policy. But out in the public realm is a whole different milieu that has to be measured with a different level of tolerance.

Of course there are consequences to carry around such drivel on a placard, but none that should involve sanction by any agents of Society. What section under the Criminal Code would you charge them under? If they were tenants, would you seek their eviction? Would you cancel their residency and deport them?

I see images of anti-abortion protesters with their photos of foetuses standing in front of legitimate clinics, and I take strong exception to their message; but I will not support any action that serves to silence their message as one day I may want to assert a position that may not always be welcomed or admired.

I did say it was a general comment, rather than one about the specific image.

I do not see public demonstration as sacrosanct. If for example people are trying to entice others to acts of terrorism then they are fair game for the pokey.
