My first name is a family traditional name,so every male in my family has it. So, I'm called by my middle name by my whole family and relatives. My brother and father is also called by their middle name.
When I started school, everyone called me by my first name,so over 10 years, all my friends call me by my first name. However, my brother and father managed to have people call them by their middle name with everyone(inc their friends) except me because I included my full name but now some people don't even know my middle name or know I even have one. They don't know my family and relatives call me by my middle name
Is it weird that I go by my first name with friends and middle name by family/relatives? And btw, i prefer my first name over middle now but family and relatives won't change(I didn't ask them but I know they won't) and it isn't like a chinese person called by their chinese name at home and english name outside. In the USA, I heard there are similar situations like mine but none so far I know in London.
It feels weird because it almost feels like I'm a different person(and before you ask, no, I still have the same personality whether I'm with friends or family). My username for my computer is my middle name and so are my video game consoles(PS3,Wii). Does it sound like I'm getting paranoid now?
