Is this weird or is it just me?

So ive been talking to this guy for about a month. And i like him and he likes me, he goes to my school. He's really shy so we text a lot were hanging out this weekend. I know he isn't talking to anyone else but me for a fact. However very often we talk for days on and then all of a sudden he doesn't text me for a few days then he texts again for days then stops, last time he said he misplaced his phone for a couple of days, then the time before he said that he got his phone back, and i really dont know what hes going to say this time. I know he doesn't have his phone though because thats the way he gets onto myspace. So the day he stops texting me, he doesn't go on myspace. Were both 16 by the way. I was wondering if you thought this was weird, and if you might know what could be happening? Could it be parents that take away his phone? Or what... hm lol. And how to i tell him that it bothers me that we talk for days and then stop without giving me a heads up? Help plz <3
