i read that the military lowered the strength test for men so that women would be able to pass it more easily.
One thing that I read was that men no longer had to run carrying heavy guns. It stated that women were unable to do this
i read it on the net

allowed in combat

I was a soldier in the Aust. Army & we had exactly the same weaponry SLR/SMG rifles that the guys had, went through the same gas training, hand grenade throwing etc. Carried the same radio's, rucksacks including hutchies (individual low to the ground tents). Dug our own latrines - does this answer yr question??

I'm not sure where you got this information from but I am currently in the Army and this is not true at all. We all still run carrying weapons and all that stuff. They didn't lower the standard for men at all.

"men no longer had to run carrying heavy guns"

But that's a fundamental aspect of warfare! People running about with heavy weapons is a necessary thing and has been since the invention of the spear!

:(
