the car i really want is a pontiac solstice.
my dad said keep dreaming
then he told me that pontiac went out of business.
is this true?
or is he just trying 2 get me 2 stop wanting the car?
 
GM is cutting Pontiac as others have pointed out.

However GM is required by law to continue making service parts for at least 10 years. You could still get the car serviced at other GM dealers too. Really it wouldn't be a huge deal for quite some time.
 
Pontiac is gone at the end of 2009. Saab, Hummer and Saturn are also gone.

If you decide to get a Solstice, make sure it is the hardtop convertible.
Some people think it will be a collectable someday.
