Is this too old for a used bicycle?

Not wanting to break the bank, I have decided to get a used bike. I found a used Trek for $495. My only concern is the fact that the bike is 22 years old. It is a 1987 Trek 400D Elance size 62cm. Should I eliminate this from consideration immediately because of its age. I am 6’6” with long legs and need a larger bike; I do not want to miss a good opportunity.

I wouldn't spend that much for a bike that old. It has the shifters on the down tube. Go the bikes direct and check some of those out.

You want a frame that goes by your inseam not your height.
