Is this the proper time to test?

So I took a test this morning and it was negative.

I should be getting my period right now, but it has only been 2 weeks since possible conception.

Is this a good time to test, or too early? Should I wait another 2 weeks before expecting accurate results?

Some tests are more sensitive than others. Even if you're suppose to be starting your period today or tomorrow, some tests might not be able to detect the amount of hCG in your urine.

Conception isn't the key - it's implantation. Implantation of an embryo can happen anywhere from 5 to 12 days from conception. If you'd only implanted 2 days ago, then there certainly wouldn't be enough hCG in your urine to detect on even the most sensitive of tests. You best option would be to wait a day or two. If you'd not started your period by then, test again with first morning urine as this is the most concentrated with hCG. Good luck to you!
