Hag Marina Betta Kit Zen
1/2 gallon

personally i think i need a bigger tank. But if they made it, it should be okay for a betta to live in there?

I breed bettas & all of my prize males are in quart to half gallon containers(females are in a heated/filtered 25 gal.). If you do water changes every 3-4 days they won't need a filter, if the room they're in is 70-78 degrees then they don't need a heater. I spawn on rotation so they get 2-3 weeks in between to recuperate. I had one thrive for almost 6 years.

No, they make it to make money because it seems cheap and simple so a lot of people are lured into buying it, thinking it's appropriate.

Just because they make it, does not mean it's appropriate or healthy. Like, people make cigarettes, yet smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer.

This is what you'll need:

* 2.5 gallon tank + hood

* Sponge filter

* Mini-heater for 2-5 gallon tanks

* Gravel/silk plants/decor and water conditioner (if it did not already come with the tank)

* Betta pellets (preferably Hikari brand)

* Optional: Freeze dried bloodworms as treats

Make sure to CYCLE your tank first (leaving the filter on for 4 weeks or so until ammonia/nitrite cycles are established)

Do 25% water changes weekly

Just because they make it doesn't mean its a good thing. Betta fish require heat and filtration, neither of which I saw in this picture. You need a minimum of 5 gallons with a heater and filter for a single betta.

no just because they make it does not mean its good because look at all the drugs OH they made it i must be good for us it is not get a 10 gallon tank 10$ gravel 7$ heater 10$ filter 10$ and he will be set
