Is this still safe/okay to cook in?

I had a pot of water boiling on the stove. I forgot about it and all the water boiled out and turned the inside of the pot black. Is it stiil okay to use it or will it make the food taste funny? Is it safe to use?

I would run the pot through the dishwasher, it will taste funky for a bit, only if you don't wash it. You will also have to probably apply some elbow grease and scrub it in between. If after you have done all of that, it still looks bad, then make a note of the maker, and you may have to replace it with a new one.
