Last year I went to the ENT complaining of constant nausea. He basically tried to cover all bases and put me on medication for acid reflux, allergies, sinuses, etc. I did the NeilMed sinus rinse every day (often morning and night) and used NasaCort or other nasal sprays afterwarRAB. I did not notice having any sort of "post nasal drip" symptoms at the time, only felt nauseous, but took my doctors orders as he must have seen something when he scoped me. I felt much better after taking all these meRAB.

Months and months later, while still doing the rinse, but giving up on it a little, but sticking to steroid nose sprays, I suddenly developed a very obvious post-nasal drip which I never had before. A lot of mucus I have to cough up every morning and night. Again, I NEVER had this before, and oddly enough, was already on medication for months to treat this sort of thing, so it made no sense to me. All I could do was to keep doing what I was doing according to ENT's and allergists, just switch up and try different sprays. Needless to say, nothing worked.

The odd thing is I only have this excessive mucus/need to stiff it up through my nose and cough it out through my mouth issue morning and night when I'm in contact with water AKA taking a shower or washing my face. Then it's instigated. During the day, I don't feel it.

My question is, is it possible that doing the sinus rinses and nose sprays for all these months actually made my problem worse and created this issue despite meaning to do the opposite? I almost feel like it cleared my nasal passages too much and now when i breathe in any sort of water, I'm in automatic nasal sinus rinse mode and I have to snort it up back my nose and out my mouth, something I actually didn't even know how to do before.

Is it possible? My doctors don't seem to think so. But I don't know what to do. Should I stop all the rinses and sprays all together? I've tried stopping and see no difference, but only for short perioRAB of time. I just don't understand.

Advice welcome and much appreciated!!!
