Is this poem a working blank verse? If not some advice on fixing it?

I honestly don't know what a blank verse is, but I have an idea. My english teacher merely told our class to write a poem in blank verse and explained blank verse doesn't need to rhyme. I would look it up but I have some other homework to do before class starts at 9 so I would prefer a quick answers. Much thanks to those who help! : D
(btw I am not that good at writing poems but I think this one is sufficient)

Age should be withering her down
yet she is as lively as ever
so many years have gone by
and she doesn't mind
just working and working
until it's her time
she's not ignorant
she knows

so she does as much as she can
and too many times more than enough
but that is what makes her happy

Washing dishes and then taking her daughter to school
all of this after just returning from a 10 hour night shift
and not resting if even for a moment

after returning only works some more
her job never seeming to end
why does she clean up after everyone and why does she continue
why don't her kids help she ponders
her eyes tire and her body exhausted
she stops and considers whether or not to go to bed
she looks at the time and ignores her thoughts and goes back to work

my heart slumps to see her continue
so I offer to finish cleaning up
she is resistant at first telling me not to worry
I don't accept that and she reluctantly complies
she said she would only take a break for an hour or so
and then finish in case I didn't

I send her off to bed
telling her not to worry
I got this I said

A while later
I went to see how she was doing
and she was shaking from the cold
I cover her with a blanket of warmth
She was moving a little
almost as if
her body refused to rest
and I realized
how much I owe her
and how much she loves this
