Is This Ok?

I have this toothache that happens once a day. Over the past few days it has gone from happening during the day to happening at night. I have been taking ibruprofen before going to bed for the past week or so. Is that alright? Will is cause me any harm? I know it probably doesn't seem like much, but I really don't like taking medications of any kind.

I saw him yesturday. He thinks that it might be something wrong with my sinuses. I am going to make an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow.

I know it has been a week or so since I started this post, but I still wanted to see if this was alright. Plus, I have some additional information to add.

It turns out the toothache was caused by a large amount of fluid buildup in my ear probably caused by my sinuses. At first I thought the toothache was causing the ear ache, but after seeing my doctor I learned it was the other way around. I was given an antibiotic that does not seem to be working as fast as it should. I still have to take an ibruprofen at night. It has been a few weeks that I have been doing this. I should have gone to the doctor when the pain first started but I waited until it got really bad. Is it still alright for me to be taking this every night or is going to start causing damage soon?

Hi, KDD . . . just taking one a night should not cause any harm. I have been on Tylenol daily for pain management (I cannot do Ibuprofen) for years and seem to be fine.

I would say as long as you are not getting any stomach symptoms, or your stools and urine are normal, you should be fine taking one every night until you are healed up.
