im going to make a carbon dioxide pump to make my plants grow faster. its going to be homemade and i dont have any silicone... i have kwik seal kalk. it will be on the bottle to seal it NOT in the tank i have fish in the tank as well will this be ok?

its made for tubs and showers but would it work for this?

Aquarium sealant is cheap and readily available. You are going through all of the time and trouble to make a co2 system why skimp to save $3-7.00. I agree that the co2 system shouldn't get water in it and that liquid should never enter the aquarium though it's just a good idea to use aquarium grade products around an aquarium.

BTW: Most products made for tub & tile as well as swimming pools have algae and mold resistant chemicals added to them during processing. These chemicals will kill your fish. Spend the couple of dollars to be save. It's cheap insurance to avoid wiping out an entire planted aquarium.
