Is this normal??? i have recently put a gutter on my garden shed and until i can get?

a water butt i'm catching it in a white bin okay. The rain water has quite a yellowish/brown tint?? i thought rainwater was pretty clear???
 
Rain water is often coloured by running off of dirty surfaces and in the autumn it usually gets lots of leaves in it too. Its perfectly fine for watering the garden. If it gets smelly and you want it cleaned just add some water purifying tablets - you can get these from camping shops like Millets and some chemists too
